1. Die Förderung des öffentlichen Gesundheitswesens und der öffentlichen Gesundheitspflege, insbesondere die Verhütung und Bekämpfung von übertragbaren Krankheiten, auch durch Krankenhäuser im Sinne des § 67, und von Tierseuchen;

4. 4. Selfless activity, use of funds and prohibition of favors The association is selflessly active; it does not primarily pursue its own economic purposes. Funds of the association may only be used for statutory purposes. The members do not receive payments from the association. No person may be favored by expenses that are alien to the purpose of the association or by disproportionately high remuneration.
5. 5. Membership Association members can be natural persons or legal entities. Membership must be applied for in writing to the Executive Board. The Executive Board makes a final decision on the written application for membership with a simple majority of votes. A claim for admission is excluded. The Executive Board is not obliged to inform the applicant of the reasons for the rejection. Membership ends through resignation, expulsion, death or dissolution of the legal entity. The resignation takes place by means of a written declaration to a member of the Executive Board who is authorized to represent the company. The written declaration of resignation must be given to the Executive Board with a notice period of one month at the end of each quarter. An exclusion can only take place for important reasons. Important reasons are, in particular, behavior that is detrimental to the association's goals, the violation of statutory obligations or payment arrears of at least one year. The Board of Directors decides on the exclusion.
